Belated Europe pix
November 17th, 2006 | Travels and Appearances
I put together a set of photos on Flickr of some of my adventures in Paris and Brussels last month. For various reasons, as you may recall, I didn’t have my digital camera on this trip. But a couple people kindly sent me shots they’d taken, and I just added some more that I took with a disposable camera. I wish the Flickr slideshow mode would display the photo captions, but I can’t seem to find a way to make that happen.
Oh! Duh. I figured it out. Just click on a photo in the slide show, and you’ll get a slightly smaller version plus the caption. Then you can forward the pix manually, and continue reading their captions.

AB,
Picture @11-what kind of building is that? I’m guessing a cathedral, but it looks kind of mosque-like…
Also-new glasses, or just the angle of the picture?

I don’t recognize the cover picture from the French book from inside the book? Do I have to go to France to collect that drawing or is it on the British edition? (er… guess I could check next time I’m in a big enough city!)

love the cover on the French edition!!
Jaibe, that drawing is at the end of the chapter that starts with Alison’s dream about the sunset.

I just have kind of a nerdy comment - you can also see the set on one big page with descriptions in the detail view…

Thanks mlk — I found it! I love how they used it on the French edition.
By the way, new theory about why Alison’s dad crossed out the bullets & year on the picture of Roy — maybe he was saying Roy was august?

thanks for sharing your nerdiness, Ben. it’s nice to have Alison’s commentary . . .

That one photo at the outdoor cafe? Did our dear Alison find her male doppelganger in Europe? The resemblance is striking.
I love Paris. I’m so jealous!

Ho no !
I discoverded Alison’s work with Fun home, one of the best 2006’s books I read.
En aparté, as a dyke, it’s really not easy to find good novels or comics in France …
And now I see that you came in France in October and I missed you ?! I hope that you will come again, or that I’ll be able to see you in the US.
